Making public safety a priority

I have fought hard to keep our community safe by standing up to the NRA and pushing for sensible gun safety laws. During my first term in office, I pushed to ban assault weapons and close the gun show loophole. I am determined to ensure a tragedy, like that which took place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas, never happens again.

I’ve also worked to increase funding for mental health programs and I’m pushing for a new law to prohibit people who are convicted of hate crimes from obtaining firearms.

I am also an advocate for our first responders. I supported additional funding to help our police and firefighters maintain our safety and worked with community partners to ensure all our neighborhoods are well-protected and have access to necessary community resources.

I am honored to have the endorsement of our first responders including the Florida Police Benevolent Association, Professional Firefighters and Paramedics of Palm Beach County and the Fraternal Order of Police.

I promise to continue to fight for the safety of all members of our community.

Please vote David Silvers for State House District 87 at one of the early voting locations listed here or on Tuesday, August 28th so I can keep working for our community’s safety.

Thank you,

David Silvers
